Myriam Faynella Mc-Clain passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Jacksboro, surrounded by loved ones. Myriam was 101 years old. She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Tolar, to Samuel Guy Snodgrass and Lucy Edgar (Byram) Snodgrass.

A visitation will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksboro. Entombment will take place at noon Friday, Dec. 8, at Restland Cemetery in Dallas in the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.

Myriam married the love of her life, Charles Sidney McClain on Sept. 8, 1941, in Atoka, Oklahoma. Together they raised their children Sid Jr., Jackie, and Laura. Myriam was a faithful member of the Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas for over 70 years. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew her.

Myriam is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sidney McClain “Sidney”; her parents; son, Charles Sidney Mc-Clain Jr.; and siblings, Sam Snodgrass, Mamie Banks, Guy Snodgrass, Malcom Snodgrass, Robert Snodgrass, Daniel Snodgrass, James Snodgrass, and Edgar Snodgrass.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Bass and Clyde Amick, Rev. Laura Rothe; and her husband Rev. Eric Rothe, and daughter- in-law, Davie McClain; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
